Celebrate the 4th of July with a Vacation
The 4th of July is just around the corner and if you are still looking for the perfect place to celebrate, we are here to help.
With fun community events like parades and duck races, over 100,000 people come out every year to celebrate the 4th Tahoe style. While the daytime activities may be fun, it is at night when the city really comes alive with its iconic fireworks show. Lights on the Lake is the largest synchronized fireworks display in the western United States and is definitely worth the trip.
Myrtle Beach is packed full of fun and festivities during the 4th. With unique exhibits, such as the Salute the Shore flyover and the Boat Parade, Myrtle Beach will deliver a celebration that will be hard to top. Once it is dark out, there are five fireworks shows to choose from and all are sure to have you on the edge of your seat.
San Diego always knows how to have a good time, and the 4th of July is no exception. With a variety of activities from the San Diego County Fair to Star Spangled Pop Concerts, San Diego makes the 4th extra fun. At night you won’t want to miss the spectacular fireworks display, the largest in the region, shooting out over the bay.
As the center of political events leading up to the American Revolution, Williamsburg is the perfect historical setting for Independence Day. There are four nights of fireworks (July 1st-4th) at Busch Gardens. However, if you prefer a more historical celebration, there are parades in Colonial Williamsburg featuring the fife and drum militia, as well as live entertainment, patriotic concerts, and fireworks galore.
At Turtle Bay Resort, over 2,500 visitors come out every year to watch the $21,000 elaborate fireworks show. Not that we need any more reasons to visit the beautiful island of Oahu, but there just isn’t anything quite like a 4th of July on the beach.
Get out of town for the 4th this year and experience the celebrations other states have to offer. Every town seems to celebrate a little differently and it is always fun to get out and watch the fireworks from a different point of view.
Safe Travels,
